I was born in 1977, when Mickey Rivers was the dynamic baserunning star for the Yankees. My dad was always partial to the base-stealers, so Rivers was his favorite. He used to joke that he was going to name the baby after Mickey Rivers. Of course my mom didn't allow it, but ever since hearing that story as a child I had a fascination with him and enjoy getting his cards.
