I remember Mr. Allen as a man who had to overcome many obstacles. He ended up hitting 351 homeruns and driving in 1119 runs. He was selected rookie of the year in 1964. He also garnered MVP votes in 7 seasons and was selected to the All star team 7 times. I do not think he ever got the fame he deserved.
